Elaine Scheider of Sir Speedy Printing is a big fan of the OBID.
“The organization is so informative and keeps us up to date on everything, a lot of which I wouldn’t otherwise know. I love the e-blast and newsletter and always look forward to reading it.”
Elaine is also a supporter of the OBID’s cleaning program. “The guys are always wonderful. I can walk down Forbes Avenue and I never even see a cigarette butt!”
Stop into Sir Speedy, 3614 Forbes Avenue and say “Hi” to our friend Elaine!
This week has seen the arrival of thousands of new and returning students to Oakland! Many of our businesses have helped to roll out the welcome wagon.
The excitement and fresh energy of Oakland has been noticeable as we welcome back our university students.
To help show Oakland’s hospitality, several of our OBID member businesses took to the sidewalks. Hello Bistro handed out their famous fresh cut french fries, Cricket Wireless and Dollar Bank set up outside to introduce themselves to new students, and Selection Boutique set up a sidewalk sale. The OBID set up right in the heart of move-in at the University of Pittsburgh, distributing business promotions to new students and their families.
Welcome back students! We are so glad you are here!
The Carnegie Mellon Professional Development Services Department is looking for opportunities to share information about your business with their newest employees!
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to promote your business to the newest members of the daily Oakland community!
Each month, Carnegie Mellon University hires new employees, many who have never before worked in Oakland. Sherra Moors of Professional Development Services, is looking for our OBID members to help welcome these new hires to Oakland by presenting them with a welcome packet. Your business could be included in this packet. To find out more, please contact Sherra Moors, 412.268.4555, [email protected]
